
Avery Keatley is a writer and award-winning radio producer based in Washington, D.C. Her work has appeared on NPR, in Conde Nast Traveler, and USA Today. She has produced for The New Yorker Radio Hour, NPR’s Morning Edition, and Up First. She’s currently making noise for NPR’s All Things Considered.
Avery’s work investigates the things we missed or took for granted, and her curiosity often leads her to unexpected places. She loves a big question, and firmly believes that everyone has a story to tell. She writes and reports about religion, culture, travel, film, history, and our connections to nature. She holds a BA in English and history, and an MFA in nonfiction writing from the University of Pittsburgh.
