Avery Keatley is a writer and audio producer living and working in Pittsburgh. She holds a BA in English and history, and an MFA in nonfiction writing from the University of Pittsburgh. Her work has appeared on 90.5 WESA and in USA Today. She relaunched and produced the [in brackets] podcast, and is a former nonfiction editor of Hot Metal Bridge.

Avery’s work blends narrative with heavy doses of research — she loves making complex topics understandable to anyone. She is interested in writing about social media, movies, TV and streaming, Millennial culture, and religion. Currently, she is working on her first book-length project.
