Avery Keatley is a writer and radio producer living and working in Washington, D.C. She holds a BA in English and history, and an MFA in nonfiction writing from the University of Pittsburgh. Her work has appeared on NPR, WESA, and in USA Today. She relaunched and produced the [in brackets] podcast, and is a former nonfiction editor of Hot Metal Bridge.
Avery’s work blends narrative with heavy doses of research — she loves making complex topics understandable to anyone. She is interested in writing about social media, movies, TV and streaming, Millennial culture, and religion. Currently, she works as a producer for NPR’s Morning Edition.
