Avery Keatley is a writer and radio producer living and working in Washington, D.C. Her work has appeared on NPR, WESA, and in USA Today. Most recently, she was making noise at NPR’s Morning Edition and Up First.
Avery’s work investigates the things we missed or took for granted. Her curiosity often leads her to abandoned places. She loves a big question, and making complex topics understandable to anyone. She is interested in writing and reporting about social media, movies, TV and streaming, Millennial culture, food systems, prehistory, and religion. She holds a BA in English and history, and an MFA in nonfiction writing from the University of Pittsburgh.
